My Sister's Bday Celebration - Paper Doll Making

It's three months after my sister Maryl's birthday, but better late than never. We got together at my house for some crafting and eating - two of my favorite things!
We made some travel washi tape holders, Using credit card holders from Daiso, we inserted laminated paper, wrapped with washi tape.
Diana, Maryl
Pat, Jenning, Ruby
After lunch we moved onto making paper dolls with Catherine Moore stamps. Here are some of the finished dolls - so adorable! Sorry, Dee, you left before I took pictures of yours.

We were also lucky to have a special guest, Dahlia, my sister Frances's 2 year old granddaughter.
 Just love the matching dresses!
What a fun day we had together...Happy Birthday Maryl! Lana wasn't able to make it to our party, as she was busy selling some of her antique collection at Wendy Addison's sale.

Happy Memorial Day...Go Warriors!

My New Altered Book - Nellie Wortman Class

I recently purchased Nellie Wortman's Altered Book CD course and finally completed my book. It was a wonderful class, I really enjoyed making this book!
I took apart one of my vintage books and created my own pages inside. This is a smaller book, measuring 4" x 6". Here are pictures from inside...

And on a last note, just thought I would share some cute pictures of my daughter Rachel and her boyfriend, Bentry, at the Oakland Rose Garden, for some pre-Senior Ball dance photos. I can't believe she's graduating from High School in just a few weeks!
Good to be young, brings back memories!

Oh Joy Target First Aid Case Re-Purposed

If you frequent Target, you might have seen some really adorable product designed by Joy Cho, under the label Oh Joy. She currently has a cute line of baby clothes and accessories in the stores. In the past she's had some great house ware products, but this weekend I found this adorable first aid case.
It's colorful, slim, light weight and perfect for a traveling tote of art supplies. It's also under $6 or free if you buy 3 qualified items in their Health and Beauty dept. Check out her adorable band-aids.
I love all the sections inside and the color/pattern. The size is 10"x7"x 2".

Well, I had to cover up the medical cross on the front, so I used one of my Paige doll drawings and glued it on top. I also added some ribbon and a flower to the handle. Message me before July 1st, 2016, if you're interested in this Paige doll image and I'll email it to you for free.
And this is how I filled up the inside.
I added some of my basic supplies, like pens, scissors, washi tape cards, favorite stamps, ink pad, Peerless water colors, waterpen, notebook, etc. This is perfect for taking on the road, I highly recommend it!

On another note, lately I've been working on an altered book. I purchased a computer class from Nellie Wortman called Altered Book. Below are some sneak peaks at some of the pages I started.
I can't wait to finish it...stay tuned!
