My Daughter On The Today Show

I'm so excited and proud that my daughter, Rachel, appeared on the Today Show last week. My daughter has a YouTube channel, KawaiiSweetWorld, where she bakes cute looking desserts.  A couple weeks ago the Today Show reached out to her to see if she would demonstrate a couple of her recipes. Rachel and I went to New York this past week for the taping.

Here's the segment that was aired on TV.

We had a great time in New York and it was such an experience to be at the NBC studios! Here's some pictures from our trip and some behind the scene shots.

Now, to adjust from jet lag. Have a great week!

All Things Paper 2 - Wendy Brightbill Class

I'm taking the 2nd in a series of Wendy Brightbill's on-line class, called "All Things Paper 2". I'm having so much fun making these collage floral pieces. I made these small pieces on 3"x5" index card dividers.
I made the collage below using an old calendar as the background.
And a couple more smaller collages made also on the calendar background.
My last couple collages I made on top of notebooks.
My sister, Diana, is also taking this class and made this amazing piece.  I love the whimsy flowers and colors !
If you like playing with paper, I recommend this great online class from Wendy.

A New On-line Class with Stephanie Rubiano

There's sooo many great on-line classes out there. I just found this one from Stephanie Rubiano called, "Fabric of Time" where you learn to alter cabinet cards. Below are the ones I made...
I've been collecting cabinet cards for a long time, but haven't done much with them, so this class was perfect. Check out the before and after shots.
It's really fun what you can do with these images.
It's a great class and the outcome can be so unique and surprising. I recommend you sign up for this one if you have some vintage cabinet cards lying around.
